On Saturday, Feb. 8, former Tahoe Truckee High School standout Derek Laferriere’s current college team, the San Francisco State Gators, lost 5-4 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Westmont Warriors.

The game took place at Russell Carr Field. This was their fourth matchup against the Warriors this season.

The Gators’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 15 at 1 p.m. at Cartan Baseball Field against Menlo Oaks.
