Mountain Hardware and Sports will give away free American flags on Saturday, May 28 to honor the Memorial Day holiday.

California lost 1,894 soldiers in the Korean war and 3,597 in the Vietnam conflict.

Consumers visiting the store at 10001 Soaring Way Suite 105, Truckee will receive a free 8’ by 12’ American flag. A second will be donated to the local VFW Reno Battle Born Post to be used for marking veterans’ graves on Memorial Day.

This year, Ace Hardware Corporation aims to again give away more than one million American flags nationally. Last year, it gave away more than 500,000 to Ace customers and more than 550,000 to more than 1,900 VFW Posts.

Flags will be available at Mountain Hardware and Sports while quantities last. Each consumer is limited to one free flag; no purchase is necessary.

Mountain Hardware and Sports is located at 10001 Soaring Way Suite 105, Truckee, California. This location is owned by Douglas B. Wright and represented by Kathleen Makinano.
