Former Tahoe Truckee High School player and current San Francisco State Gators catcher and utility player, Derek Laferriere, will compete in the NCAA D2 Baseball Championship Tournament.
They begin the tournament as a number six seed against the second seeded Cal State Monterey Bay Otters.
The first game is on Thursday, May 16.
